INVESTIGATING TOURISM STUDENTS’ INTERCULTURAL SENSITIVITY LEVELS IN HIGHER EDUCATION

The aim of this study was to determine the intercultural sensitivity level associate degree students studying Cooking and Tourism Hotel Management in a state university Turkey. also investigated students’ according some variables such as gender, age, major grade. For purpose, Intercultural Sensitivity Scale (Chen & Starosta, 2000) which adapted into Turkish by Öğüt Olkun (2018) conducted quantitative data collecting instrument order measure level. scale had separate part including demographic information. were collected through face- to-face survey spring term 2022. They firstly coded then analyzed SPSS 20. Additionally, t-test one-way ANOVA tests conducted. results indicated that respect for cultural differences interaction enjoyment found be very high while attentiveness, engagement confidence levels high. Moreover, it appeared grade did not influence perceptions.
